2016 Cabled Christmas Stocking Crochet-A-Long
In September I hosted my 2nd cabled Crochet-A-Long (CAL) for the year. In June I posted a poll asking everyone which patterns they’d love to work on as the next CAL and they all voted for my cabled stocking patterns. The following are the 2 patterns we used:

The Big Bold Cabled Stocking (pictured above) seemed to be the most popular of the 2 and I have to admit, it’s my favorite. 🙂 The yarn used for the samples shown in the photo above is Lion Brand Yarn Wool Ease Chunky in Mulberry and Fisherman. This yarn comes is the perfect shades for gorgeous Christmas decor! You can click on the photo to be taken to the Ravelry listing. The Braided Cables Stocking is a worsted weight stocking. The yarn used for the samples in the photo above is Lion Brand Yarn Fisherman’s Wool in Narural and Nature’s Brown. I love the vintage look that this yarn lent to the design.You can click on the photo to be taken to the Ravelry listing. Can the first cable one be done with blanket yarn instead of chunky?

Yes, I believe it would look very cozy in blanket yarn. 🙂
