How to Crochet a Santa Boot Ornament

This Santa boot ornament is crocheted in one piece, from the bottom up.

First, you’ll crochet the sole of the boot, then work around the perimeter of it.

Next, you’ll split the boot to crochet the ankle. After crocheting the ankle, you’ll add a little white cuff.

Then you’ll join yarn and finish the upper foot and toe portion.

Once the foot is complete, close the top of the foot, fasten off, and weave in ends. Add a simple hanging loop.

Lastly, add holly leaves and berries, if desired.

This crochet Santa boot ornament was designed as part of the 2024 Ultimate 12 Days of Christmas Ornament Crochet Along & Giveaway hosted by myself and Blackstone Designs!

12 Days of Christmas ornament crochet along event.

Yarn

I used Lion Brand Yarn Pound of Love & Basic Stitch for my crochet boot ornaments. Both yarns are worsted weight, 100% acrylic yarns. The main reason I chose these yarns is because the colors were perfect for a Santa boot ornament.

Other worsted weight yarns can be substituted.
